White Rock RCMP, BC Coroners Service investigate report of found body

The White Rock RCMP and the BC Coroners Service are investigating a report of a found body on White Rock beach this morning.

On March 16, 2020 at approximately 10:15 a.m., a kayaker located the body of an adult male on the beach south of Vidal Street. The White Rock RCMP is attempting to confirm the identity of man and are investigating the circumstances surrounding his death. Early indications are there is no risk to the public.

The BC Coroners Service is also investigating the man’s sudden death, in an effort to determine how, where, when and by what means the man died. Due to the privacy of the deceased, his name will not be released.

There is no further information for release.
